Esiste un mercato nero di HFC importati illegalmente con provati legami con le organizzazioni criminali.
Questo mercato può avere effetti devastanti sulle imprese, sui singoli e sull’ambiente. Quando si acquista o si usa HFC illegale, si contribuisce a questa attività criminale. Inoltre, si è esposti a gravi rischi per la sicurezza senza alcuna garanzia della qualità delle bombole e del loro contenuto. Una ricerca recente indica come il mercato nero abbia rappresentato fino a 31 milioni di CO2eqT soltanto nel 2019 – una cifra che può addirittura aumentare se non ci impegniamo tutti insieme
Il sondaggio condotto tra le persone che hanno firmato l’impegno pubblico mostra che l’84% degli intervistati nella catena del valore dei refrigeranti vede o riceve offerte di HFC commerciati illegalmente almeno una volta all’anno. Il 72% degli intervistati ha subito conseguenze dirette dal commercio illegale di HFC, mentre il 69% ha chiesto sanzioni più incisive per ridurre il mercato nero.
Possiamo contribuire a fermare tutto questo dicendo no agli HFC illegali. Crediamo che l’unico modo per porre fine al commercio di HFC illegali sia la collaborazione. Lavorando insieme, la catena del commercio illegale può essere interrotta. Per questo vi chiediamo di mostrare il vostro sostegno prendendo parte a questo impegno pubblico, perché ogni singola azione è importante.
